Established in 2020, OutCyclists is a coming-together of LGBT road cyclists in metro Phoenix, Arizona.

Some of our members are training for upcoming races. Others are just starting out and want to pedal a little further or a little faster. Most are just looking to share experiences and train together, and improve our health and fitness.

An outline of our current recurring activities are:

• Almost weekly Thursday sunset/evening social ride, ~20 miles, generally meets in the Greater Old Town Scottsdale area (but sometimes elsewhere) with wheels down at 5:45 (in the winter) or 6:45 pm (in the summer) sharp. This is a no-drop ride. Grab a beverage or bite with us after the ride, if you wish!

• Occasional weekend morning fitness ride, 30-40 miles. This is a tempo ride aiming for a pace of 14 mph. Contact me to organize a parallel ride with a different pace and/or distance.

Always check Facebook for full details regarding an event, including start time, and mark yourself "attending".

Many rides are followed by a social, be it drinks or brunch. Feel comfortable joining according to your comfort level given the public health situation.

We might start participating in local tours and races in the spirit of athletic development and friendly competition. Some of us are also runners (members of Phoenix FrontRunners) and triathletes (members of Phoenix TriOUT)--our club contributes to supporting the broader community of endurance sport enthusiasts.
